Yoga - Asanas & Pranayama
Yoga complements Ayurvedic treatment. The primary focus of yoga is Therapeutic relaxation. Practicing yoga, relaxes the muscles, lowers the blood pressure, increases immunity and thus reducing the stress. This results in healing of specific body parts. Yoga is taught for maintaining good health as well as for treating a variety of diseases. Asanas & Pranayama are adapted to suit the individual and the disease. Diet is an essential part of Yoga practice. I teach Asana & Pranayama for the following conditions / diseases :
Back Pain: Yoga and correct postures for walking, seating and sleeping are the best solution to get rid of back pains. yoga offers a simple and permanent cure for Knee Pain, Neck Pain, Head ache, Frozen shoulder, Heel Pain, Slip-disc etc. Some of the common yoga to relax your back is halasana, shavasana, bhujangasana and uttarpadasana.
Respiratory Problems: Breathing problems can be treated by the practice of Pranayama. Pranayama has various techniques that are designed for the maximum capacity utilization of the lungs. Breathing excercises in Pranayama are very effective in treating problems like Asthma, Sinusitis, Nasal Block etc. prevent the recurrence of Asthma.
Digestive Problems: Yoga provides sustained and long-term benefits from most digestive problems. Asana & Pranayama are taught to take care of digestion problems like Poor digestion, Poor Appetite, Constipation etc.
Pregnancy / Post-natal care: Yoga and meditation ensure optimum health during pregnancy. This helps in easy child birth and takes care of various problems of pregnant women. After delivery, Asanas and Pranayama are taught to regain health & vitality to the mother. The practice also helps to reduce excess weight and strengthen the Abdominal muscles. Daily Yoga practice is also recommended for post-natal recovery and relieve fatigue and tiredness.
Life-style diseases: Yoga is taught for certain other conditions like Hyper-tension and Diabetes.
